The close-up view of each stone type shows a relatively true image of the crystalline structure and the colouring. This is suitable for grained slabs to a limited extend only. In regard to the colour matching, please take an original sample of the stone from your furniture store as a basis.

Petrography

North American Bethel White is one of the whitest granites on the natural stone market. It has a regular, fine grain crystal structure of white alkaline feldspar and white-grey to transparent quartz. Dark-grey, and grey-brown phenocrysts of clinozoisite along with some biotite are evenly distributed throughout the rock.

Petrogenesis

Bethel White is the result of a bright magma, rich in feldspar but lacking in quartz, which slowly crystallised under lightly increased pressure ( initial metamorphosis with formation of clinozoisite). During the course of a long and stable period of cooling over millions of years, a uniform grain size was generated so that Bethel White, as a highly homogeneous hard rock, is ideally suitable for sculpturing.
