The close-up view of each stone type shows a relatively true image of the crystalline structure and the colouring. This is suitable for grained slabs to a limited extend only. In regard to the colour matching, please take an original sample of the stone from your furniture store as a basis.
Petrography
This fine crystalline marble ,mainly composed of calcite, shows an exceptional texture generated by enclosures of graphite and traces of the iron oxide limonite.
Petrogenesis
Marbles are of sedimentary origin and were formed by means of metamorphosis, that is by both high temperature and pressure. The result is the typical crystalline structure. The tremendous forces in the earth’s crust, which generated lofty mountains eroded nowadays, led to the intensive folding of the layers which determine the texture.
